All players must arrive by 4:00 PM so teams can check in and the tournament bracket can be finalized. Teams that arrive late may forfeit their spot.

Tournament Rules

• Tournament will be played using Dominican domino rules.
• Teams consist of 2 players.
• Each game is played to 200 points.
• Kapicúa counts and is worth 30 points.
• No other bonus points will be awarded.
• If the game is locked, only the totals of the two players who locked the game are compared. The team whose player has the lower total wins the hand.
• If a locked game results in a tie, the player who locked the game wins the hand.
• No points are awarded for passing on the first turn or for a hand where everyone passes.
• The tournament bracket will be created after check-in.

Tournament Conduct

To keep the competition fair, the following rules will be strictly enforced:

• No rearranging or organizing your tiles after they are drawn. Organizing tiles may give your opponent information about your hand.
• If you touch a tile with the intent to play it, you must play that tile. If the tile cannot legally be played, it will result in a penalty.
• Playing an invalid tile (a tile that does not match the board) will result in a penalty.
• If you pass when you have a legal play available, it will result in a penalty. Players are expected to play all available legal moves.
• Any attempt to signal or communicate with your partner through tile movement, gestures, or other actions is prohibited and may result in penalties or disqualification at the tournament organizer's discretion.
